Here is a sampling of news coming from ISD campus and through our social media accounts, thanks to our impressive alumni, faculty/staff, and students.
🌙 Happy Eid Holidays!
We wish all our families, teachers and staff a wonderful and relaxing break. School will be closed from 21 March to 5 April. Classes for students will resume on 6 April.
The whole school including ISD Administration Offices will be closed from 26 March to 5 April.
Pi Day, celebrated annually on March 14th (3/14), is a global celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi).
Our mathematics department organized a series of engaging and educational events, transforming learning environments into a hub of mathematical exploration and fun.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made Pi week a resounding success and congratulations to our activity winners:
Pi Recitation Contest - Aaliyah G11 (31 digits) Guess the Number of Circles Jar - Tibah G10 (exact number) Pi-Day Escape Room - Syeda G11 (Pacific Won!) Rubik’s Cube Competition - Aaliyah G11 (57 seconds) Solve the Puzzle Challenge - Gauri G11
A special mention goes to Saud Zuhair and Rehaan Malhotra for their passion in maths and active participation. 👏🏼
Last week, we hosted our annual student-led Iftar with our community partners. We were delighted to welcome over 150 students from Solmaid FFC, JAAGO Foundation’s ‘Dreams in Action’, LEF For Life, and Abinta Kabir Foundation to our campus for an evening of games and activities, followed by a shared meal at Iftar.
ISD students raised funds for gifts and donated items such as sports equipment, books, and school supplies. We are incredibly proud of the generosity, hospitality and leadership shown by everyone who participated and thank our partners for joining us during the Blessed Month of Ramadan. 💙✨
Welcome Dr. Michael Palmer as our new Primary Principal!
