ISD Admissions Process: The 7 stages and what to expect

Stage 1: APPLY

  • Submit online application
  • Upload proof of identification for the applicant (birth certificate or passport)
  • Upload proof of identification for both parents (passport or national ID).
  • Submit/upload school reports for the applicant for the last 2 academic years. For Grade 10 to 12 applicants, include official transcripts from previous the school 
  • Upload applicant's vaccination records
  • Upload applicant’s additional documents such as medical diagnosis reports. For students with Learning Support needs, please upload personal learning plans (IEPs or other supporting documents/reports - translated into English if necessary) 
  • Submit school supplied reference
  • Complete your $250 application payment fee using one of the payment options listed:

            1) Online Payment

After selecting the online payment option and submitting the application form in Rediker, you will receive a payment link to your email where you can make the payment. Once the payment is complete, please go back to your application form in Rediker and select the ‘edit button’ and attach the payment receipt.  

2) Bank Payment

Please Note, Bangladeshi nationals must pay in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) at the quoted bank rate. Expatriates must make payments in US dollars (USD). If you are paying by a bank transfer, please add $20 (USD) to cover the bank collection charges.

Stage 2: APPLICATION REVIEW

During this stage the full application is reviewed by the ISD Admissions team, grade level Counseling team, and Principal.

Stage 3: ASSESSMENTS & TESTS

Once your application has been successfully received we will invite the applicant to take part in a classroom observation and MAP testing based on their grade level:

  1. Assessments - Our Admissions Office will get in touch with you to schedule standardized academic assessments and/or classroom observations for the applicant.
  2. Primary School consists of two full-day classroom observations within class MAP tests, which take place during the two-day classroom observation. 
  3. Secondary School consists of a two-day MAP test, which can be taken online (with the camera on) or at our school campus.

Stage 4: MEET WITH ADMISSIONS

Families receive an invitation to meet with the Admissions Team to discuss the applicant's assessment and test results.

During this meeting, an admissions decision is confirmed verbally or the following steps for further assessments are discussed about your child’s placement at ISD. 

Stage 5: ADMISSIONS DECISION

Once your application is accepted, ISD extends an official offer of admission in writing with the start date. ISD issues a payment invoice for the Admission School Fees.

Stage 6: ENROLLMENT

Once your family has joined ISD: 

  • Submit the Enrolment form in Rediker and agree to the Terms and Conditions
  • Create student and parent ID cards & car stickers
  • Laptop configuration is required and school Google accounts are set up
  • Uniform selection and order
  • School menu and snacks 
  • Student timetable is shared

Stage 7: BEGIN SCHOOL!

  • For Aug and Jan admits there will be a two-day orientation 
  • Your child’s counselor will meet your child upon arrival and introduce them to the student ambassador/buddy
