During the week of November 3-7, our ISD students will have the opportunity to learn traditional dance techniques from the globally acclaimed Odissi dancer Sharon Lowen and her disciple Vishwanath Mangaraj. Through this residency, students will immerse themselves in the rich techniques of Odissi, focusing on storytelling and emotional expression, which are key elements of the dance form.
Primary students will showcase their learning in a special assembly on November 7th. The residency will culminate with a spectacular classical dance performance by Sharon and Vishwanath on November 9th from 7-8pm at the ISD Auditorium. This performance promises to be a beautiful and unique experience that celebrates the culture and artistry of Odissi dance.
Tickets are available at the front desk or on the day of the event. All are welcome to join us for this unforgettable evening!
