Discovering Growth and Change

At our recent unit celebration, kindergarteners proudly showcased their understanding of the central idea: How people’s abilities and interests change as they learn and grow. Students interacted with visitors of various ages, asking thoughtful questions to compare their abilities and skills with one another and reflecting on their own progress.

Throughout the unit, students honed key PYP Approaches to Learning, including communication, self-management, and social skills, while demonstrating Learner Profile attributes such as being risk-takers, balanced, and reflective.

The celebration featured student-made T-charts, imaginative projects, and engaging discussions. It was inspiring to see students confidently explain their discoveries and reflect on their learning journey. The event beautifully captured the essence of growth, fostering a sense of community and celebrating the transformative power of learning.
