Grade 5 travelled to Sylhet, 4-6 February, for their residential camp, staying at Nazimgarh Eco Resort. The students had an enjoyable time exploring the area with the highlight for many being the boat trip up to the border between Bangladesh and India, and a football game with the students from the local school. This experience plays an integral role in the Grade 5 year as it not only prepares them for Week Without Walls in secondary school, but is a time for personal growth. The activities allow students to consolidate their Approaches to Learning Skills and Learner Profile Attributes. Students are required to set goals and monitor their progress throughout the trip with many reflecting positively on their time away.
