On Monday 7th April, we hosted an engaging Parent Information Session to introduce the Primary Years Programme Exhibition (PYPX) — a significant milestone for our Grade 5 learners. The session provided parents with a comprehensive overview of the purpose, process, and expectations of the PYPX, and highlighted the crucial role they play in supporting their child throughout this journey. During the session, we explored how the Exhibition at ISD empowers students to showcase their learning, passions, and agency through an in-depth inquiry into real-world issues. We shared the timeline, key components, and assessment criteria, emphasizing how the process encourages collaboration, critical thinking, and action. Parents were given practical strategies on how to support their child — from guiding research and fostering independence to celebrating small milestones. The session concluded with a Q&A, where parents shared thoughtful questions and insights, reinforcing our shared commitment to student growth and success. We are excited for the journey ahead and look forward to working in partnership with our parent community to make this years Exhibition a meaningful and memorable experience for our learners!
