On Tuesday, May 20th, Pre-K students set off on an adventurous field trip to MAD Farm as part of their Unit of Inquiry on “Exploring Materials in the Environment.” The students enjoyed a full day of hands-on learning, exploration, and play. They engaged in a range of activities, including preparing food for animals, feeding farm animals and fish, and creating beautiful nature-inspired art. They also enjoyed time in the playground, a fun train ride, and water play in a safe, child-friendly pool area. The experience not only deepened their understanding of how materials interact with nature, but also gave them the chance to show agency, make choices, and connect classroom learning with the world around them, all while having a wonderful time with their peers and teachers.
