College Counseling Workshop for ISD Parents

At ISD, we believe that preparing for university is a collaborative journey — one that involves not only students but also their families. That’s why we host regular university and career counseling sessions for parents, led by our dedicated counselor, Brian Eng.

In a recent workshop, Brian emphasized how valuable these sessions are in helping parents better understand the complexities of modern college applications. Many parents face uncertainty and stress when guiding their children through this unfamiliar process — especially when it involves studying in countries they themselves have never been to.

These sessions aim to break down key information into clear, manageable steps. Topics include admissions requirements, academic expectations, study skills, personal essays, scholarships, and financial aid. Brian’s goal is to reduce anxiety and empower parents with the knowledge they need to support their child in finding the best-fit university — one that aligns with both academic goals and personal well-being.
