The recent cold weather combined with high pollution levels means that we are managing outdoor play and sports activities according to the school’s policies. Your child’s health must be a priority for the school and we are taking measures to protect and manage this in challenging environmental conditions at this time of year.
This means that for both Primary and Secondary Schools we have a maximum pollution limit of 200 AQI for outdoor play, PE lessons and coaching sessions outside the gym. Each day we monitor the campus AQI levels during the day in two locations: the early years playground and the sports field. If the pollution levels exceed 200 AQI we will move playtime indoors and, where possible, sports activities into the gym.
We hope that the air quality will improve during February and we will continue to do our best to ensure that exposure to very high levels of pollution is avoided for your child.
