From Dhaka to Infinity!

Every learner at ISD holds the potential to blossom into a high-flying achiever. We nurture the seeds of wonder through open-mindedness and inquiry, providing fertile ground for knowledge to grow, skills to refine, and the wings to soar to new heights of accomplishment.

Recently, International School Dhaka’s math prowess reached new heights as two teams qualified for the final round of the prestigious Infinity Mathematics championship 2024, held in Mumbai, India. 

Beyond solving equations, the Infinity Contest offered a journey of self-discovery for our students. Through independent work and teamwork, they deepened their understanding of key concepts, internalized the values of honesty and integrity, and witnessed the interconnectedness of knowledge. This active learning experience pushed their critical thinking, collaboration, and knowledge retention skills to new heights, proving that true learning happens when students are engaged and involved.

The Infinity Math Championship 2024 wasn’t just a competition; it was a global gathering of math prodigies. And amidst 540 teams from across the world, two from International School Dhaka, one in Senior and one in Advance, rose to the top, securing their place among the elite 54 finalists.

Only 5 teams out of 54 finalists scaled the heights of the QUIZZITCH round! Among these elite climbers, our advanced team – Suvani Dey, Vanisha Goel, and Eshna Maithani – secured a prestigious runner-up spot, showcasing their exceptional skills.

Not only did our teams shine, but individual brilliance also took center stage! Niyarah Mahboob, from our senior team consisting of Zaveer Anis Dowla, Niyarah Mahboob and Sarina Kassam Mehdi was awarded a prestigious certificate of merit for her sharpness and exceptional performance in her category. 

More than just a competition, the Infinity Math Championship was a shared learning adventure for all participants! Under the guidance of their leaders, Mr. Jalaj and Ms. Rajni, our students pushed their limits and soared. The entire International School Dhaka community joins in celebrating their remarkable achievements!
