This week the school hosted an information session for parents on the return of the PTA to ISD. I was grateful for the parents who attended to contribute to this initial discussion on how we could bring the PTA back. A slidedeck with the information shared at the meeting is linked in this meeting.
There were a number of ideas that we considered including a Zoom meeting to share the new by laws, the responsibilities of the PTA Executive Committee and possible activities that the PTA could organize in the coming year. We know it will take time but where there is willing, there will be a way to set it up.
My next step is to meet with the teaching staff to talk about their role in the PTA. For parents I would be grateful if any parent would like to meet with me individually for a personal meeting if you would be interested in joining in the work of setting up the PTA during this year.
