G12 Arts Exhibition Monday 7 April

Time: 3:30 – 4:30

Parents, friends, staff and students are warmly invited to the annual G12 Arts Exhibition. This will be held in the auditorium at 3.30pm on Monday 7 April. 

The IBDP Art Exhibition showcases the creativity, passion and personal journeys of our talented young artists. Over the past 18 months, they have explored, experimented and expressed their ideas, culminating in a coherent body of artwork within their chosen themes. Over 15 works of art by Ameenah Azam, Torsha Mahin and Zara Zaman will be hung in the auditorium foyer. The audience will be invited to see the works and meet all of the artists. 

Adding to the artistic experience, Theatre and Music students will collaborate to bring a dynamic showcase of performance and sound. The audience will be in the auditorium for the theatre students’ performances. Students will perform their solo pieces, and will include Rodella Ahmed, Mona Carrington and Farhan Tareq. Kiana Mahboob will introduce the performances. Students showcase their creativity at the Arts Exhibition, presenting three captivating theatre solos inspired by renowned theatre theorists. Each performance will highlight powerful expression, technique, and individual interpretation.

A soundtrack of music by Safeeah Rahman and Apsara Khalid will be playing in the background while the exhibition is on. Safeeah and Apsara have completed G12 Music, both as guitar players. The soundtrack will include composition and performance pieces by these students.  

The Exhibition will be on for at least two weeks for everyone to enjoy.
