Last week, Grade 3 students went on a trip to Gulshan Lake Park to collect data for their research and to have a better understanding about the positive and negative impacts of using land in growing cities. After analyzing their data, they came to the conclusion that we need to use our natural resources, such as fertile land, wisely. Humans need land for shelter, agriculture and industries, but we need to take other living things also into consideration, as we are sharing the planet with them. Our actions for a sustainable living should be therefore based on Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG #12). At the park students also learned that Education is the key to creating awareness for a healthy planet, as they saw several signs with environmentally friendly messages … Actions for a better future. They experienced the power of Education and understood the importance of taking actions NOW!!!
