Highlights from the Hong Kong Counsellor Fly-In March 2025

Many ISD parents and students often ask, “Why Hong Kong?”
Hong Kong is a prime destination for students seeking an international, diverse city with top universities and a thriving cultural scene. It boasts an exceptional public transportation system, a wide variety of food options, including a Halal Food Bazar with halal meals and prayer spaces, making it an inclusive city for all. Notably, Hong Kong is extremely safe and offers English as a primary language of instruction in universities. While knowing some Cantonese can help you connect with the local culture, English remains widely spoken.

During the Hong Kong Counsellor Fly-In hosted by The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), I had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of both institutions and the unique opportunities they offer.
