International Food Festival Postponed

International Food Festival Postponed

We have had to make the difficult decision to postpone our keenly-awaited International Food Festival event.

With heavy heart we have had to take the difficult decision to postpone our keenly-awaited International Food Festival on Saturday 11 November. We are aware that parents and sponsors of the event do not wish to see the event cancelled close to the date or suffer from low attendance should we be able to go ahead in the current period of civil disruption. This is very disappointing after the hard work of Ms Shalini and the parent organisers who have put some much effort into the plans for the event.

Thankfully we will ensure that the event can be moved to early February when we can plan for the day using our existing plans and sponsors so that it will be a great success. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate through this challenging period at school.

  • […] ISD completed its  Autumn Training Camp last week, with a sell-out crowd of students from ISD and Bangladesh, all of whom benefited from the expert training of Barça Academy coaches.  Running throughout the week of October 22, the Autumn Training Camp kicked off on the exceptional sporting facilities of ISD Field. We were delighted to welcome and host esteemed guests, parents and community members.  We were honored to host His Excellency Ambassador Francisco Benitez Salas, Spanish Ambassador to Bangladesh, to officially open the training camp.   This exciting partnership comes as part of the school’s newly-implemented ISD 2.0 strategy and commitment beyond classroom activities.  The whole week was full of vibrant spirit and passion on the field from the young players under the guidance of Barca coaches Joel and Gorka and with full support and cheer from our parent community! Students learned the importance of discipline and team spirit as well as football techniques, such as spacing and dribbling.  The training camp was a truly engaging and unique learning experience for ISD students and the wider community!
