In the past few weeks a major new campus development has been taking place. Largely unseen, the school has been placing solar panels on the school roof and this work is nearing completion as you can see in the aerial photo of ISD taken yesterday.
This project has been an investment in the green future of the school so that we can save on electricity consumption costs. The solar project will serve one-third of the campus needs for electricity during term time and significantly more during holidays.
We expect that the project will be commissioned in June when we will start to benefit from the generation of solar power on campus. This is great news for our commitment to resource use and climate action within our community in the coming years.
