It was a thrilling weekend of sports at the AISD and ISD campuses as ISD’s Varsity teams brought energy, passion, and school spirit to the court and field.
Our Girls Varsity Basketball Team made school history, capturing back-to-back championships at both the AISD and ISD tournaments. In a dramatic final at AISD, the Hawks edged out the hosts 27–25. They followed up the performance with another title-winning game at home, holding a narrow lead into the final quarter and sealing the victory with grit and determination. The team, which included players from Grades 7 to 12, showed outstanding teamwork and resilience throughout the tournaments.
Meanwhile, our Boys Varsity Soccer Team put up a spirited effort against tough opponents from AISD, Grace, Manarat, and Glenrich. While the final scores didn’t reflect their hard work, the Hawks played with heart and upheld ISD’s values of sportsmanship and perseverance.
