New Developments at ISD Next Year

ISD Swim Academy

Based on community interest, we will be providing more pool training for our Primary and Secondary swim teams before and after school next year. There will also be new options such as individual certification programs, swim safety courses and weekend pool events for ISD families. Sign up information will be sent out to the community shortly. 

French and Hindi Language

Plans are advancing in preparations for PYP French and eligible families will be able to sign up from this week. We have already identified a new French language teacher and will be able to offer French as an ASA in Primary also next year. We are currently planning our Hindi language program for next year based on community demand. 

Sports and After School Activities (ASAs)

From August we are pleased to be able to offer a wider range of activities in the Primary School and Primary School sports teams. We are employing an additional female sports coach to support our girls’ teams and will be running more school games to raise our school performance in this key area of building student success. There will be more announcements on additional changes in August.  

Secondary School Programs

In addition to the new ASA offerings we will be extending the number of subjects in the Diploma Programme, including the Environmental Systems and Society (ESS), School Support Self-Taught Languages and the second year of Global Politics. We will also be adding a new IB DP Math teacher and the provision of intensive SAT course preparation for our students.
