Ensuring a safe and secure working environment is a top priority at our organization, and in line with this commitment, we recently conducted a comprehensive fire drill training session for our employees. The training, held over two days on May 5th and 6th, 2024, was organized in collaboration with the Fire Service and Civil Defense Department, Bangladesh. The primary objective of the session was to equip our staff with essential skills and knowledge to respond effectively in the event of a fire emergency.
The sessions were meticulously planned to ensure thorough coverage of all critical aspects of fire safety, and general fire prevention strategies. The Fire Service Civil Defense Department Bangladesh’s experienced trainers provided hands-on training and valuable insights into fire safety. Participants engaged in practical exercises, learning how to handle fire extinguishers, navigate through smoke-filled environments, and perform safe evacuations. The sessions were interactive, allowing employees to ask questions and clarify doubts, ensuring they left with a solid understanding of fire safety protocols.
We were pleased to see a strong turnout of 40 employees from administrative and operational departments including Housekeeping, Maintenance, Transport, Food and Beverage, and other designated departments in this first session. As an organization, we are committed to continuous improvement in all areas of workplace safety. This fire drill training is just one of the many initiatives we are undertaking to ensure safety and well-being at the workplace. We look forward to organizing more such training sessions in the future to keep our workplace safe and secure.
