Sharing a student’s academic progress with parents takes different forms in the MYP. Three-way conferences are one format and the other is Term Report Cards. The First Term Progress Report for MYP students will be available to parents and students at the end of this month and teachers are working hard to complete grading and comments for each of their students. Much like in previous years, the progress report will consist of subject-based grades, comments and feedback on Approaches to learning.
MYP Report grades are based on the four subject criteria and parents are reminded to check the first page of the report that lays out how the total grades per subject rate against the MYP Grade boundaries to determine the Grade. We will be monitoring student reports for those who may require support in specific areas. Such students and parents will receive a formal letter indicating the monitoring process and steps to help improve.
