Shanna Schwartz, Curriculum Coordinator for Primary Literacy at TCRWP visits ISD
Last week we were delighted to host Shanna Schwartz, Curriculum Coordinator for Primary Literacy at Teachers College Reading and Writing program (TCRWP). In this role, she provides leadership throughout the TCRWP organization, while supporting schools and districts worldwide. This includes developing curriculum, mentoring staff developers, and facilitating study groups for school leaders. Shana spent a whole week with ISD teachers and students, collaborating on the best literacy practices using several different reading and writing techniques that increase talking and thinking in classrooms as a means to amplify student voice. Being a pioneering school with the TCRWP program in South Asia, ISD is incredibly proud to have such internationally recognised professionals working with us as we continue to empower our learners to be successful readers and writers and be the best they can be.
