ISD regularly hosts representatives from universities worldwide to meet with Diploma Programme (DP) students and expose them to various institutions and programs.
Universities that have visited ISD so far include: Monash University, City University Hong Kong, Mt. Holyoke, University of British Columbia, Calgary, SUNY Albany, McGill, Taylor’s University, Malaysia, Northeastern, Carlton and EDHEC Business School in France. This month’s upcoming visit includes a Masterclass with the Dean of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, who will present students with a lecture titled “How the brain changes during drug and behavioral addictions” on 15 October. In addition to promoting universities to our Diploma Programme students, the University and Careers Counselor, Ellen Johnston, also promotes ISD students to universities. In an upcoming webinar with PIE News, an outlet offering business analysis for professionals in international education, Ellen will sit with a panel to unpack what a 21st-century international school looks like and what obstacles might prevent the UK from being an attractive destination to international students.
