October 10th is World Mental Health Day – a day set aside to acknowledge the importance of mental health and wellbeing in our lives, raising awareness as a way to reduce the stigma that surrounds mental health. The 2023 theme set by the World Federation of Mental Health is “Mental Health is a Universal Human Right.In honor of World Mental Health Day, the ISD community will:
raise awareness by placing informational posters around the school
during assembly, highlight mental health concerns among students and possible ways to address them
encourage everyone to wear green, the color chosen to celebrate this day
host a parent workshop about Raising Teens, with some focus on mental health during the teenage years.
