Of Reflection, Rest and Relaxation…
The end of the year is a natural time to pause and reflect on the experiences of the academic year. Over the last ten months, we have had many opportunities to learn, interact, grow and just be. It is a wonderful feeling to look back and reflect on the year – remembering our many successes and realizing our growth and potential as we faced challenging times too. A lot of growth has taken place on the outside – students are taller and stronger. Students have grown academically, from the 6th graders successfully completing the 1st year as Secondary students, to the 12th graders completing their Secondary school learning. Students have also grown on the inside, becoming more self-aware, caring for others and for the community. We celebrate this growth.
As we head out for the long vacation, it is a perfect time to reset our self-care routines, focus on ourselves even as we enjoy the downtime with those near and dear to our hearts. Self-care is the practice of prioritizing your individual health and well-being, allowing yourself to experience a wide variety of activities that contribute to you being balanced. The Summer Self-Care Bingo is a great way to ensure that you practice your self-care while on break. There is something for everyone! See something you particularly enjoy, do it several times. See something that doesn’t particularly interest you? Try it anyway, then move on to what you do like.
Have a relaxing, refreshing and rejuvenating holiday!
